I design interiors that feel soulful, and thoughtfully composed, places where modern refinement meets warmth and character. Each home reflects the people who live in it, their rhythm, their story, and the details that bring them comfort. My approach blends understated elegance with thoughtful layers, creating spaces that feel inviting, balanced, and timeless. My work focuses on interiors that feel intentional, considering each home as a complete experience, how spaces feel, flow, and function together, not just how they look.
My design journey began long before formal training. I was born and raised in Iran, historically known as Persia, a culture steeped in beauty, craftsmanship, and poetic detail. With Persian roots and experiences that shaped my early life, including time spent traveling in India, I developed a deep appreciation for color, soulfulness, and artistry. I initially studied graphic design, which shaped my eye for composition and visual storytelling. Later I continued my studies in interior and environmental design, learning to translate emotion and lifestyle into thoughtfully designed spaces. My style balances refined modern design with layered textural depth and thoughtfully layered eclectic elements.
Early in my career, I worked closely with specialized trades and design studios. It was there that I gained practical knowledge in materials, cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom design, and the technical aspects that bring a concept to life. Over five years ago, I founded atelier monamo, working with residential clients across Orange County. While becoming part of the community, I’m grateful to now call Corona del Mar home.
Connection is at the heart of my process. I love learning about my clients, how they live, and what environments support their well-being. Each project is a collaboration grounded in trust, creating homes that feel deeply personal and authentically theirs.
I live with my husband and our little companion Kenzo, an apricot toy poodle with the sweetness of a toddler, the energy of a young boy, and an intelligence that constantly surprises us.
Designing interiors allows me to blend culture, intuition, artistry, and human connection shaping spaces that feel truly lived in and lovingly made.
